Rancho Don Bosco is located in the heart of Glen Canyon, at the mid-point between Santa Cruz and Scotts Valley. Throughout the years, the Salesians of Don Bosco were guests of John and Julie Bruzzone (founders of Rancho Don Bosco) and enjoyed taking their annual retreat at the property – taking time to relax and enjoy the peace and serenity the property offers. Today, the family estate is open to private parties and offers a multitude of amenities that few places have to offer.
Upon entering the 95-acre property, you are welcomed by a pond and expansive views of the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vineyard. Meander up the driveway and into the manicured gardens which are hosts to a variety of ornamental trees and ornate landscape. Custom stone and brick work are throughout the grounds. Well suited for large gatherings, Rancho Don Bosco’s bocce ball court, horseshoe pit, outdoor kitchens and gas fire-pit provide an atmosphere for entertaining.
Rancho Don Bosco’s design accommodates both indoor and outdoor entertainment. Large and small events will enjoy the custom Barn complete with an expansive banquet room, commercial kitchen, professional bar and large stone fireplace. The Barn‘s three large rustic doors open to spacious lawns, gardens and sitting areas surrounded by an elaborate water feature, working windmill and sub-grade wine cellar.
Should your event include hiking there is a 1 1/2 mile (round trip) paved road that leads to the Chapel on the Hill, boasting views of the beautiful Monterey Bay. Check out the gallery page and take a closer look at the panoramic images of Santa Cruz’s premiere event center. The spacious areas and intimate settings will accommodate those who wish to sit back and relax and those who want to explore the activities and natural surroundings of Rancho Don Bosco. Acres of outdoor gardens, custom Barn and use of the commercial kitchen all add to the endless opportunities for your event. Rancho Don Bosco has welcomed fundraising parties, political gatherings, birthday parties, baptismal celebrations, weddings and sportsman’s feasts.
